Hm… For the first time in my life I bought the physical copy of a game.
Will I still be able to get the update somehow?
So far I love the game and I certainly would be interested in more of it! 😀

The update will be released in Japan and there is no confirmation of it coming to West. I doubt it will come, but it would be good as long as i don’t have to buy it again for the full price, but i don’t mind having to buy it as DLC.

Ah, I see! Thanks a lot for the answer.
One more thing, as I said, this is my first physical Vita game and I’d love to know whether or not I would be able to download and use a DLC for my game, if they should decide to bring it to the west after all.

        • Kaetokiha

You’re not the only one thinking about this. Those who have the digital version (like me) would me able to download the DLC with no problem, but what about those who have the physical version?

I don’t know what they can do about this and in fact this can be a problem big enough to make NISA unwilling to bring the updated version to the west since people who bought the physical version would get upset about having to buy it again.

          • Ogerscherge

Unfortunatelly that would make sense. 🙁
That’s one of the reasons why I tend to buy my games digitally.

Well, I think I probably would even be willing to buy the game again, but still I’d lie if I said that it wouldn’t kind of bother me to get punished for buying the physical version once in my life. :/

          • Kaetokiha

Actually…i thought more about it and things are much simpler than i was thinking. The only thing they would need to do is to release a paid DLC (it’s paid in Japan as well) so it doesn’t matter if you have the digital or the physical version you just have to go and buy the DLC to upgrade the game.

I’m still skeptical about this coming to west, but it actually depends on how well it sold. I’m sure if NISA and EXP are happy with how the game is performing in the west then maybe they can think about bringing it.

It’s a pity this is just a update to the game and not a sequel. It would be awesome if this were a sequel with a new story.

So it is possible to download a DLC from the store for a game you have on a disk/card/cartridge?
If so, that would be grand! 😀

Yes, I certainly do hope that it sells well enough here.
Though I wouldn’t be surprised if many people were a bit scared of the game considering the fact that I read and listened to several reviews which criticised the game’s high difficulty. :/
But I am optimistic! I think we’ll get the DLC as well eventually! ^-^

          • Physical cartridges can use DLC just fine, as long as the DLC is region compatible (for the most part you can’t use EU DLC in NA, and vice-versa).

          • Ogerscherge

Thank you kindly for the information! ^-^
Good to know that there is no need to worry. 😀
