Spike Chunsoft reveal a release window for their roguelike RPG.

Spike Chunsoft have taken to the PlayStation Blog to reveal that their upcoming RPG Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics will be releasing this Summer in North America.

The 2D adventure centres around a kingdom which is being swallowed by a destructive wall of light. You better keep on your toes, as constantly moving forward is the aim of the game here. Don’t stress about saving the townsfolk or even the king. Just get to the point and save the day!

As you would expect from a roughlike RPG, each quest will present you will a different procedurally generated world. RPG fans will be happy to hear that rather than narrow corridors and tight corners, One Way Heroics gives you a whole world to explore. But be warned, for those who like to explore every corner of a world, with every action you bring the deadly wall of light on step closer. This means you are constantly forced-scrolled forward. Linger to long and you’ll fine yourself a goner in no time.

It’s not all bad news though, as even though you’ll lose your progress if you do perish, you are able to save the gear you have gained through the Dream Vault. You can also earn points to unlock new perks, NPCs and classes, which there are 20 to choose from in total. Also, be sure to look out for the appearance of familiar faces from Danganronpa and Shiren the Wanderer!

Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics will be cross-buy for PS Vita and PS4 when it releases in North America this summer. We await details of a European release.

Nice! Seems like a pretty cool concept.

I’m interested. It looks like a good game to play on the Vita too.
