It’s time to dust off those steampunk goggles and strap on a pair of trusty revolvers as SteamWorld Heist finally comes to PS Vita this month!

In a recent post on developer Image & Form’s website we have finally been gifted with the release date of critically acclaimed SteamWorld Heist, the spiritual successor to one of my favourite Indie handheld games; SteamWorld Dig.

You can check out the announcement video below which showcases some of the gorgeous gameplay we can expect when we finally see the title launch later this month.

The video not only contains information on a release date, but also a few tantalising titbits concerning pricing structure, discount and cross-buy functionality.

The Vita version will cost £15.99 or €19.99 $19.99 and offer cross-buy support between Sony’s platforms (hype!). And for those of us residing in either Europe or Australia we can preorder it for 15 percent off now on the PSN! Fear not my Stateside buddies, you will also have access to this promotion when the game launches!

And as an added bonus, the Outsider DLC previously released for SteamWorld Heist shall also be available for both PlayStation versions at launch! (Double hype!)

You can find everything we have covered concerning SteamWorld Heist thus far at the Vita Lounge right here and you can also expect us to be reviewing the game when it sneaks its way into our hands at the tail end of the month. So be sure to keep it locked here at The Vita Lounge!

I just learned today that I have the previous game Steamworld Dig from way back in November 2014! If any of you had been getting the PS Plus freebies since then, you should check your download list!

    • Logan Graham

My copy was from last years’ Nintendo Humble Bundle, on 3DS. I didn’t sub to PS+ until April of last year.

Unfortunately, Witcher 3’s last dlc is out then…

  • Steve Jaworski

Loved Steamworld Dig so this is certainly a welcome inclusion.

I’m looking forward to this one! Time to put some extra cash in my psn wallet.
