The sequel to last years 5-star visual novel will be hitting PS Vita in the west.
Last year Steins;Gate was released in the west to rave reviews. In fact, it was the highest rated game from TVL in 2015, with Charlie giving the game a 5 out of 5 rating.
Now it has been revealed that the direct sequel, which is set in the same time period as the original, Steins;Gate 0 will be heading to the west in 2016.
The original Steins;Gate had many bad endings, and the sequel follows Rintaro Okabe after one of the games less that positive conclusions. Upset by what has happened in this ending, he discovers he may have a second chance thanks to an AI program named Amadeus. In the sequel however, Rintaro uses RINE, a messenger inspired by Line, to influence the plot by communicating with other characters.
The PS Vita version of the game will cost $49.99 in the US and £34.99 in the UK. Excited? Well you’re in luck, as you can pre-order your copy today via Rice Digital. We still await confirmation of the exact release date for the game.
