Image & Form Games have announced on their website today that their upcoming release, SteamWorld Heist, has unfortunately been delayed.

But don’t fret too much, the delay is only a short one and the game will release one week later in both North America and Europe – launching in these regions on the 7th and 8th of June respectively.

What has caused this delay I hear you cry?! Well Image & Form had the following to say about the delay;

The reasons for the delay are related to publishing, localisation and quality assurance. We basically encountered a few scattered problems with the PlayStation versions that we have to fix before releasing the game. If you want more info, feel free to ask me directly in the comment section. The extra week will hopefully give us enough time to fix these issues.

We’re working closely together with the fantastic people over at Sony to get the game out as fast as possible. Thanks for being patient with us!

So there we have it, a week’s delay isn’t too bad I guess – at least we can be assured that Image & Form are looking to ensure the game runs well when it launches in just under a fortnight’s time.

    i feel this may come to ps plus

    Not bad at all. I’m glad, as I’ll have that much more time ti save up for it. If it becomes a ps plus title, all the better! Especially after this month’s lackluster vita offerings… and I’m not easily disappointed.

    I much prefer a delay over a cancelation so I’m okay with this.
