Taking to the PlayStation Blog, Judith Pi from NIS America announced the release date for the localization of Yomawari.

Yomawari is game about a little girl who loses her dog, and her sister on the same night – having to look for them in a creepy, twisted-looking interpretation of her home town. It’s been a title that I’ve been very interested in since we saw the first trailer, but am now even more interested since it was revealed as coming West.

Here’s a bit about the game, via the PSBlog post;

“Yomawari: Night Alone features a unique blend of survival horror with stealth action gameplay. Along the way, you will find all sorts of objects from keys to slippers to cat biscuits, some of them vital to solving the mystery of the town and its eerie inhabitants at night, while others useful to distract evil spirits when they attack. As the story unfolds, more answers will lead to more questions, and the open-world environment of Yomawari: Night Alone allows for maximum freedom to wander anywhere at almost any time. But remember that everything has eyes and ears…

With every step around the corner or into a dark alleyway, you will not only need reflexes to outrun bloodthirsty monsters and spirits, but also wits as you outsmart the ones that strike faster than you can blink; letting down your guard for even one moment may spell instant death. Only the silence of the night, the unsettling chirping of crickets, and your own lonely footsteps will accompany you as danger lurks around every corner, waiting to strike without warning.”

Have we gotten your interest yet, ’cause we have one more great piece of news to add to the announcement; the game will not only be coming West as a physical version, it’ll be bundled together with htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary! Two games in one!

Look out for Yomawari: Night Alone when it hits North America October 25th, and Europe October 28th – and make sure to grab the physical combo pack if you want htoL#NiQ: the Firefly Diary as well!

    Nice. October is becoming an extremely exciting month for the Vita. I like that two in 1 physical version as well.

  • DCGX

    Amazon has the game and its limited edition version up for preorder. The limited edition comes with separate artbooks for each game, physical soundtrack, and collectors box. Only $10 more than the standard edition.

    Looks cool, I´m guessing it´s a corpse party – esque type game and I´m legitimately interested in this, also it´s just a breath of fresh air that it isn´t your standard visual novel/RPG tropey game that Japan likes to develop for the Vita so much.

    Hmmm.. Japanese Amazon reviews say its a three star title. Still, looks interesting.

    I played the japanese version and honestly its not very good and frustrating. I think I will skip the english release.
