Famitsu has revealed an Akiba’s Trip successor, and it’s headed for PlayStation Vita.

Details are scarce at the moment, but Famitsu has posted the announcement of Akiba’s Beat – a successor to 2013’s Japanese released Akiba’s Trip 2, which was brought West as Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed in late 2014.

Here’s a look at the original image from the Famitsu reveal;

The last game focused on the idea of Synthisters – a vampire like creature that you must strip of their clothing to defeat (hence the play-on-words name AKIBA’S TRIP), but what this one will hold (especially with that name change) completely eludes us at this point.

That said, there’s currently a 76-hour+ (at the time of this post) countdown going on over at the newly opened teaser site, which I’m sure will lead to something interesting – if the information doesn’t leak by then, that is. 😛

So there you have it, Akiba’s Beat is coming to PlayStation Vita in Japan – what it is, and when we’ll see it will likely be revealed soon… so stay tuned! Also, cross your fingers for a Western localization.

    Inb4 It’s actually a rythm game.

    It doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to think music plays a big role in this… I’m interested.
