Midboss has announced a release date for the Vita version of mystery adventure title 2064: Read Only Memories.

But first, let’s recap just what “ROM” is all about. 😉

Players will find themselves in Neo-San Francisco, nearly half a century into a future and right smack in the middle of a mystery. Someone has kidnapped the creator of your adorable robot friend Turing – and the only way you can find out what happened is to investigate.

Check out a brand new trailer introducing the diverse cast of ROM below;

Featuring twenty-nine people in its voice-over bits, largely re-written dialogue, revamped puzzles, new character animations, and profile boxes, 2064: Read Only Memories is coming to Vita (cross-buy with PS4) on August 16th.

It’ll be priced at $19.99 in North America, and will sport a 10% discount at launch.

    This is definitely a Day 1 buy. I’m very glad we have a concrete date for this game: I’ve been eager since last year to play it on my Vita!

      Agreed! Even held off playing the original PC version once I heard it was Vita bound.

    I’ve totally been looking forward to this game, it reminds me of those cool sega Saturn games that I couldn’t translate….with its artwork it would make a neat physical release
