Idea Factory International has revealed some grave news for Australian gamers – MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death won’t be coming after all.

The Australian Government Classification Board has struck again, this time striking down the classification of the upcoming Idea Factory International localized dungeon crawler MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death. As with all of these censorship type issues (which I’d consider this to be) I like to give it to you straight and clear, so here’s the official word from Iffy;

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately the Australian Government Classification Board (AGCB) has chosen not to rate our upcoming PS Vita title, MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death, due to an interactive touch system on the character menu. As a result, MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death will not release for this region. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause Australian fans.

MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death will still come to North America and Europe for the PS Vita this Fall 2016.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding!

– The Idea Factory International team

As stated in the quoted text, MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death is still set to release in the West however – likely due to our ratings boards not being as strict.

    I suppose the good thing for Vita users in Australia is the they can import from EU and NA. Sad for them though: I think we all know the pain of not getting releases in our territories.
