YummyYummyTummy has been working with Mintsphere to create Fallen Legion for the Playstation 4 and PS Vita. Fallen Legion is a dark fantasy action-RPG with hand-drawn 2D artwork and an intense battle system.

The game is set in the Kingdom of Fenumia, a once glorious kingdom which is now in decline. The protagonist of the game is Princess Cecille who is voiced by Xanthe Huynh (she previously voiced Meruru in Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland). At the beginning of the game Princess Cecille is leading a battalion when she finds out that the King, her father, has died. From her dear departed father she receives not just the crown but also a mysterious Grimoire. This dusty old book has the ability to speak and can also breathe life into legendary weapons, it turns the legendary sword Zulfigar into an armoured knight.

Battles will be in real time and you’ll be able to command four characters simultaneously. By switching between characters at the right time you can link together attacks and finish an enemy off with a deathblow.

You’ll also occasionally have tough diplomacy decisions to make for example Princess Cecille at one point comes across an undefended village, does she help or does she ignore them? The choice is yours to make. Different choices will grant you different buffs which can be a great help in the battles to come and will also impact the story. Whatever you decide you’ll need to think fast as you’re only given 5 seconds to decide.

We have a few different videos to show you including the E3 trailer.

It looks interesting, if I had one criticism though its the way the characters keep moving through each other, it looks quite messy and clumsy.

Hopefully that’ll be fixed, though with this being dated for a 2016 Summer Release, you never know. I do think it’s interesting, and hope that it’s priced well so I can snag it at release!
