Unfinished Pixel will be bringing their arcade-puzzle game Spy Chameleon – RGB Agent to the PlayStation Vita on July 21st!

In true chameleon fashion, players will need to constantly change their skin colour to blend in with the environment in order to avoid being spotted. Using the Spy Chameleon’s stealth skills you will aim to complete 75 levels set out across 5 different missions – with plenty of challenges and collectibles along the way!

Spy Chameleon – RGB Agent is Unfinished Pixel’s first game, and it is a remake of an Xbox Live Community Games title called Spy Chameleon that was released by Unfinished Pixel’s Marcos Torrecillas in 2009. The original release featured the core colour-switching mechanic, with this remake adding more polish in every possible way!

(Please note, the below images are from the Xbox version of the game)

Spy Chameleon – RGB Agent will feature new gameplay mechanincs, trophy support and new missions and challenges – making the remake a more complete and a better experience overall!

Here is a look at some of the features that Unfinished Pixel tell us you will find in Spy Chameleon – RGB Agent;

  • Change colour to blend with the environment
  • 75 challenging levels. The difficulty increases considerably as you learn the mechanics
  • 3 challenges in each level: pick collectibles and beat time
  • 5 different enemies, each one with different mechanics, speed and cone of vision
  • Challenging gameplay. It’s a mix of good reflexes, timing and strategy
  • Levels designed and timed to be enjoyable by speed-runners

A teaser trailer for the game was released to celebrate the Steam/Xbox One/Wii U release of the game, and I have been told by Unfinished Pixel that the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 versions “are mostly the same as in the other platforms, but with improved graphics and lighting and some bugfixes“. The PlayStation versions of Spy Chaemeleon – RGB Agent will also feature both Cross-Buy and Cross-Save!

      I was ready to pan this game but after watching the trailer, I’m ready to jump all over it! Has a pretty clever gameplay mechanic too. Hope the music is as funky as it was in the trailer… it fits the mood perfectly!
