We now have more details on Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana from publisher Falcom.
First up we have two new characters, Sister Nia and Lihit.
Sister Nia is a nun from the Celestial Church, the religion of the Romun Empire. She is an exemplary nun with a kind heart, but the abundance of her religious piety is not common, she has a few characteristics that are slightly off.
She believes everything happens according to God’s will. For instance, she perceives the sinking boat and the drifter life on the Isle of Seiren as trials given by God.
Lihit is a young man with a timidand forlorn attitude. Instead the doctor who was unable to board the ship due to circumstances, he takes the role of ship doctor. Even though he has a lot of knowledge and discernment, he lacks actual medical experience as he is only a medical student.
We also have more information on some of the games systems. As you take part in Counter-Attack Battles you’ll have the option to take on Endless Threats. Endless Threats are a difficult Counter-Attack Battle which involve taking on large and powerful enemies you’ve encountered on The Isle of Seiren will attack your base one after the other.
The game will also feature various sub dungeons that are not part of the main story. While exploring the Isle you can find these sub dungeons and gain various rewards for completing them such as “Adventurer’s Tools” or even possibly other Castaways in hiding.
So what do you make of all this? Do the Endless Threats and Sub-Dungeons flesh out the game enough for you? Let us know in the comments below.
