Square Enix has recently announced several new special editions for the upcoming RPG World of Final Fantasy. There is a lot to take in so buckle up.

In North America there are 3 different special editions, Collector’s Edition, Limited Edition and a Day One Edition. In Europe however there will only be the Collector’s Edition and Day One Edition.

WoFF-Collectors Edition

The Collectors Edition unfortunately is limited to PS4 (Booo!), but looks amazing so I’m going to mention it anyway. It includes the physical game disc, an 80 page hardback art-book showing the games gorgeous visuals, the soundtrack for the game, three mini figures of Cloud, Squall and Lightning. Finally there is some extra digital content which includes some mirages, White Chocobo, Glow Moogle and Red Bonnetberry, a Sephiroth summon and a Japanese voice over option.

To top it all off, all of this is packaged in a big pop-up book which recreates several scenes from the game.

The Collectors Edition will set you back $119.99 or €119.99 and can be purchased from the Square Enix Online Store. Now Square Enix needs to get their priorities straight and give us a Vita version.

WoFF-Limited Edition

The Limited Edition is available for both PS4 and PS Vita for $59.99. This edition comes with the physical game in a special edition case, the digital content that is also included in the Collector’s Edition and finally this edition comes with a 24 page art-book.

WoFF-Day One Edition

Lastly the Day One Edition again available for PS4 and PS Vita simply comes with the physical game and the extra digital content.

That Collector’s Edition for PS4 looks amazing, it is a shame though that Europe cant get hold of the more reasonably priced Limited Edition. What do you think of the special editions then? Are you planning on picking any of these up? Let us know in the comments below?

World of Final Fantasy is set to launch on PS4 and PS Vita on the 25th October in North America, 27th October in Japan and 28th October in Europe. Stay tuned to the The Vita Lounge for more information as we get it.

I could be importing The PS4 Collectors Edition & buy the Limited PS vita Edition.
Play the Ps vita Limited Edition & keep the PS4 Collectors Edition sealed…

I haven’t found the Limited Edition for Vita anywhere, including SquareEnix’s online store, but I don’t know if that art book is worth an extra $20. Maybe if the special edition case is really nice.

  • pre-ordered the European version (Day One Version) today 😀
