Upcoming “smash-fest” of enormous scope and complexity arrives in September

Earlier this year we told you about Space Overlords, an upcoming title from Columbian developers 12 Hit Combo.

Refered to as a “Smash-Fest” by the developers – because it best describes the style of gameplay and how complex the game is – the game’s storyline follows four brothers known as the overlords who have been incarcerated by the evil Kesedihan for many years whilst he slowly destroyed the cosmos. Our press release then tells us that the time for the brothers to rise has come and they will be needed to remove the evil that has plagued the planets for centuries.

Releasing next month with cross buy for £5.99/$7.99, we have been told that the Vita version will unfortunately be single player only.

Our press release concludes:
The three Sony formats pretty much offer the same gameplay experience with the exception of the varying multi-player options. You can level entire planets on a galactic scale to put an end to the tyrant’s control and evil. The pick up and play style of gameplay puts you straight into the centre of the action – razing buildings and smashing through planetary defences.

Regardless of whether you are playing as a lone wolf on your Vita or forming a team of four on the PS4, the expansive game mechanics can take you to 56 planets across seven galaxies. In addition to the four Overlords you can unlock up to a further four – each with their own unique style, stats and attack modes.

Have you been keeping an eye out for Space Overlords? We will bring you more news on the game as we get closer to the release – let us know in the comments if you will be picking it up!
