Gust has revealed more new details for Nights of Azure 2, filling us in on some additional details from the story and running down some release editions.

We previously detailed the basics of Nights of Azure 2‘s story in our introductory post, however some details have been clarified as the information has been released through official channels. The first of these details have to do with the world, which is a place of eternal awakening in the wake of a past war between the Nightlord and a Saint. Now, humans are awake during the day… and demons are awake at night.

It is in this world of eternal awakening that Alushe is slain and Liliana disappears, but that’s only the beginning of the story. Alushe is then found and resurrected by the Curia as an “artificial half-demon,” and learns that Liliana wasn’t there when she was found – her likely location being the abandoned city. Taking off with her new power, she looks to save Liliana; and that’s where the story truly begins.

Regarding the characters, we’ve also received additional “weapon” information for Liliana – who has the ability to slow down time for her target, and Ruhenheid – who uses the “Mind Sword Oz” to turn her emotions into a blade. Both can be chosen as your Lily partner, and can use these abilities to assist Alushe.

Check out the characters and their servans in the art below, followed by some game art, and finally some screenshots;

    The artwork is very nice, but I expect a repeat from the last game: bad port and no localization.
