Nippon Ichi Software have given us some more details and characters to digest for their upcoming title The Princess is Money-Hungry.

We’ll focus on those new characters first, there are 2 more additions to the cast, Isabella and Zenigami.

Princess-Money-Hungry_Zenigami

Zenigami is the God of money in the game and has huge amounts of power in the world. After the Princes loses her homeland, Zenigami appears to he and gifts her a mysterious calculator.

Isabella

Isabella is a young relative of the Princess but with a catch. She was born a zombie (I have no idea how you’re born undead either) and as such always has a rotten smell about her.

On top of the new cast additions we also got some new game details. The gameplay will be broken into 2 distinct parts, a base section and the action part. In the base part you’ll be building up your base prepping yourself for battle. The action part though is where you’ll be spending the bulk of your time though, you’ll collect money throughout the stages and use this money to clear the missions and ultimately the stage.

Princess-Money-Hungry_Calculator

The most interesting thing revealed so far though is Zenigami’s Calculator, using the calculator and the money you’ve no doubt been hoarding you can buy enemies to your side or traps on the field. Used carefully you can turn the tide of battle in your favour. Once purchased by the Princess these monsters and relics will join her kingdom.

Princess-Money-Hungry Zeni Miracle

Finally you can use the money and the calculator for Zeni Miracles which can be anything from powerful attacks to helping your side recover. The more cash you splash ultimately the more powerful the effect.

As a fun little aside, voice actor Hochu Otsuka of Naruto fame will be voicing the in game narrator.

So what do you make of all that? Is the idea of money being so core to the game interesting enough? Let us know in the comments below.

The Princess is Money Hungry is set to release in Japan on the 24th November. Stay tuned to The Vita Lounge for more news as we get it.
