Square Enix has released a new trailer for SaGa: Scarlet Grace, showing off the improvements they’ve made to loading times in the short time since the Tokyo Game Show.

One of the biggest worries regarding this upcoming SaGa title is that the load times are way too long, and Square Enix has acknowledged this issue with both optimization and a before/after comparison video. The comparison video shows the difference between the Tokyo Game Show build and the current (post-optimization) build, with both versions running through a quick sequence side-by-side.

Check it out;

The new build of the game finishes the sequence in about 80% of the time the TGS build does, showing a healthy amount of speed-up. Is it enough to win you over, though?

SaGa: Scarlet Grace is due out December 15th in Japan.

    Ouch… the loading still does take more time than the actual fighting. And if fights are epic, than it won’t be a big deal. But it looks like that (as in way to many rpgs) battles are an annoyance. Every 30 seconds a random encounter with weak monsters, just press are a few buttons, one or two turns per battle, after 4 battles a healing potion (which you have plenty), and at the end… hurray, a way to overpowered boss.

    I’m a bit done with it.
