Spike Chunsoft has released loads of new screenshots, a couple of new trailers as well as some new story details for New Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.
If you’ve played any of the previous games then you’ll already be aware that pupils who attended Hope’s Peak Academy were given titles like the “Ultimate Baseball Star” and “Ultimate Detective”. Now the government has implementing a special system called the “Gifted System” which gives some students who show great promise “Super High School Level” titles. These titles grant various privileges.
Kaede Akamatsu is the “Super High School Level Pianist”. One day she, along with 15 other Super High School Level pupils are imprisoned in the “Academy for Gifted Prisoners.”
Monokuma is the self-proclaimed headmaster for the Academy for Gifted Prisoners and the academy’s administrators are its children. Just like in the previous games the students must compete in the killing game.
The rules of the game are simple, if a murder occurs then a class trial will be held to debate who the murderer is. If the students find the correct answer at the end of the trial then only the murderer will be punished. But if they don’t then only the murderer will survive and all other students will be punished.
So let’s take a look at some of the characters in Danganronpa v3!
Kiibo (voiced by Tetsuya Kakihara) is the Ultimate Robot. He’s equipped with a high-level learning function called “Growth AI.” His creator, Dr. Idabashi, has allowed him to attend high school to allow him to grow and learn.

He was so obsessed with looking for bugs that as a young child he got lost in the woods, it took him 10 years to return to his parents. During his time in the woods he was raised by a family of wolves, which is why he’s able to talk to animals and insects. Because of his unusual childhood he hasn’t had a lot of formal education.
Shuuichi Saihara (voiced by Megumi Hayashibara) is the Ultimate Detective. He’s an apprentice detective who helps out in his uncle’s detective agency. He once solved a murder case before the police managed to, but as he solved it by chance he has doubts about his place among the other ‘Ultimates’.
Tsumugi Shirogane (voiced by Mikako Komatsu) is the Ultimate Cosplayer. She’s such a popular cosplayer that she gets corporate sponsors. She loves making costumes as well as wearing them.
Monosuke (voiced by Koichi Yamadera) is one of the academy’s administrators. He tends to be quiet and has a positive attitude.
