Ahead of the games western release next year Koei Tecmo have given out some more details on the gameplay of Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers.
First up is the base gameplay, the tactical gameplay system has players moving characters across a battlefield using a grid system. It plays as you’ll expect you’ll move each unit in turn and then take an offensive or defensive move.
Defeating enough enemies will allow the player to use Synchro Mode, a mode that allows the player to deal more damage with powerful special attacks. Utilising position advantage and the powerful Synchro mode will be the key to winning battles.
During battles the player can use a powerful item known as Lixia’s Orbs. These orbs will have battle changing effects such as powerful elemental attacks engulfing the battlefield. You’ll unlock these as you progress through the game’s story.
When you’re not busy slaying thousands of soldiers the player can converse with the other generals of the Three Kingdoms era. Other than just getting to know the cast of the game this has the benefit of unlocking new battles, companions or even monetary bonuses.
Finally some non-gameplay related news, for anyone who purchases the game in the first month you’ll gain access to a couple of costumes for characters. Lixia will get a “Diaochan” costume, Guan Yinping and Lu Lingqi will receive fox costumes. Not a great deal but a nice bonus none the less, plus it doesn’t require a preorder.
To round it up we also have a gameplay trailer for the game which you can check out below.
