Compile Heart has given us our first look at the gameplay from their upcoming free-to-play card game, and teased some more Chaos forms for familiar characters.

Nep-Nep Connect: Chaos Chanpuru is an upcoming free-to-play card battle title – and so far we’ve heard a lot about the game’s contents, but not much about the actual active gameplay. Thankfully, a new year’s blog post from Compile Heart has given us our first look, and provided us with the debut screenshot for the card battle bits.

Get a look below.

In addition to that first look at battle, we’ve also got two teaser images for Chaos characters – which Gematsu point out resemble Purple Sister from the Neptunia series, and Faust from Trillion: God of Destruction.

Nep-Nep Connect: Chaos Chanpuru is due out sometime this year in Japan.

Isn’t this basically Monster Monpiece system?

      Looks like it!

Though the whole screen looks a bit TOO similar (they could’ve at least significantly changed the UI’s look, if keeping it functionally the same), I did like Monster Monpiece’s card-battle system so this looks cool.

Perhaps it even adds some flair to the completely dull story and characters from MM.
