We get details on some of the crucial pieces of the game’s future, as well as some gameplay footage to show us its present. Are you getting excited yet?
Accel Word vs Sword Art Online: Millennium Twilight is set to hit Japan on March 16th, and the West this Summer – but there are still some things that we need to know before that happens. The first of those things is what you’ll get with the title’s season pass, and for Japan we’ve finally got the details.
Included in the 2,800 yen (approximately $24US) package will be three DLC packages, including the tentatively titled “Castaway from a Different World” which boasts a new dungeon and three playable characters, a second untitled DLC pack adding one new playable character, and a final untitled pack introducing private swimsuits for Asuna, Leafa, and Sinon. You can jump to the Japanese PSN Store and pre-order it here if you can’t wait to drop them yen. 😉
Additionally, pre-orders of the game itself have been revealed to bring yet another bonus character; Yuna from Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale. This brings the total to two pre-order bonus characters, alongside the previously revealed “Sachi ALO Ver.”
Four characters here, two there… but how many are there total? We’ve got news on that as well, with a new image released to drive the point home. It appears the base game will net you thirty-eight characters, pre-ordering will add two, and the season pass will add four – bringing the grand total to 44 characters announced so far.

Finally, if that wasn’t enough, there is also about five minutes of PlayStation gameplay for you to feast your eyes on – giving us a good look at how our version of choice is going to come out.
