SWDTech Games had a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2015 for detective-themed RPG Pixel Noir. There was $61,212 pledged towards a $30,000 goal. They have just announced via their Kickstarter page that they will be partnering up with BadLand Games to publish Pixel Noir.

BadLand Games will be helping out with global publishing, distribution, & marketing support as well as localisation, QA, & testing support. The game has been given a release window of Q1 2018 for the PS Vita digital version with the physical edition release being confirmed closer to launch.

If you haven’t already heard of the game then check out this post. Pixel Noir is a combination of Earthbound and Sin City. You’ll be playing as a detective, solving various cases from missing pets to murder investigations. You’ll be investigating it all! The combat will be a turn based system that contains special abilities and upgraded and customisable weapons that will be useful against those tough bosses. There is also an investigation mode that will rack your brain in trying to solve the latest case as each of them can have different outcomes depending on your choices.

I missed the Kick starter, but am very interested in playing as a hardboiled chicken, I mean detective.
