The official website for Nep-Nep Connect: Chaos Chanpuru has been updated to include more information on the character cards in the game.

Every character card will have a type and attribute as well as it’s own skills and abilities for you to utilise.

There are four types of card, Attacker, Shooter, Healer and Booster each with their own role in the game.

The Attacker is a close range attack card with attack power and considerable physical strength, the downside is that the attack range is limited to one square.

The Shooter is a long range attack card with modest attack power but makes up for this with a longer attack range of two squares and the ability to attack non-adjacent enemies.

The Healer as you’d expect is able to heal allies one square ahead of it, but this comes with the trade off of low attack power.

Finally the Booster is able to support allies by increasing their attack power. Again this comes with the trade off of low attack power.

Each of the cards also has an attribute, the attributes define strengths and weaknesses against other cards. There are 5 different elements; Water, Fire, Wood, Light and Dark. Light and Dark counter each other and the other 3 elements are set in a triangle, water beats fire, fire beats wood and wood beats water. Knowing the affinity between each of these and setting up your own cards with this in mind will be key to the game.

Nep-Nep Connect: Chaos Chanpuru is set to release on PS Vita in Japan at some point in 2017. Stay tuned to The Vita Lounge for more information as we get it.
