Arc System Works and APlus Games have announced Damascus Gear: Saikyo Exodus for PlayStation Vita release, dating it for just a few days down the line.

That’s right folks, Damascus Gear: Saikyo Exodus is coming to Japan! It brings with it a new protagonist who takes to piloting a “Gear” in order to repay an overwhelming personal debt of 100 million Eyn – which is due in a month.

As this protagonist you’ll take on missions in your customized Gear, and in doing so earn towards paying off your debt and customizing your machine (even picking up some parts from enemies here and there). Parts you pick up or buy may have special effects called “characteristics” that can enhance your gear even further.

More than 45 types of robots and 2,400 types of parts that didn’t appear in Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo will appear in Saikyo Exodus, and there are more elements to develop the player character. More, more, more!

Damascus Gear: Saikyo Exodus launches March 22nd in Japan, priced at 2,000 yen.

Ooohhh… I hope it’s better than the first. I do love the idea of a mecha Diablo.

    • DMSpider

I enjoyed the first one, but it was horribly shallow and random levels had massive difficulty spikes (I’m assuming they were actually possible).

  • Yoyitsu

So is it a sequel or an enhanced version (like Soul Sacrifice Delta)?

    • It’s another game in the Damascus Gear line, but carries on the selection from old games. Sort of like Gundam Breaker games, as far as I can tell.
