Square Enix has unveiled the first details and screens for the upcoming Itadaki Street: Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary.

Coming to PS4 and PS Vita the game is set to commemorate the 30th Anniversary for 2 of Square Enix biggest RPG franchises.

The game plays much like a board game. Each player rolls the dice and moves around the board accordingly. Each player will earn money to buy shops and get rich accordingly.

As you move around the map you’ll be able to collect symbols to cash in at the bank and level up. You’ll be able to buy shops and stocks, if other players visit your shop then they’ll pay you money.

Once you’ve collected the target amount of money you have to head to the bank and cash in to win. Think of the moment to moment gameplay of Monopoly and you’re probably not far off.

The game will feature more than 20 characters from across both franchises such as Kiryl, Kefka, Terry, Yuna and many more. There will also be plenty of dialogue between characters to please fans looking for interactions among their favourites.

Unique to this version there will be a museum for players to view their favourite moments from the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy series. Using the coins they earn during the game to unlock events for viewing.

It seems there will be plenty of fan service present in the games and it looks to be a nice nod to the history of these games. What do you think of these details? Interested to play the game? Let us know in the comments below.

Itadaki Street: Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary is set to release in Japan on PS4 and PS Vita in 2017. Stay tuned to The Vita Lounge for more information as we get it.
