Luc Bernard has been in touch to give us a trailer and a quick update for Death Tales – an upcoming free-to-play action RPG.

If you need a little reminding, Death Tales is a side-scrolling action RPG where the cards you collect in game act as skills, equipment, pets, and more – over a hundred cards in total to find. Luc describes it as “a more western version of Maple Story, with a big focus on multiplayer,” though he also notes you can play the entire game offline if you so choose.

Death Tales is going into PlayStation 4 open beta on March 21st, with the Vita version of the game due a few months after the PS4 one releases. That said, Luc has assured us that he and the team have been keen on making sure that the Vita version always runs at 30 frames per second – so you shouldn’t worry too much about the disparity in release timing. 😉

Are you excited for Death Tales? Well it’s still coming! All we have to do now is wait….
