Koei Tecmo have announced that they’re bringing Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit to the Vita late this May.

Though the strategy-based Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit has already been released on other platforms, it looks like the Vita is now getting the “better late than never” treatment as the title has been announced for release in Japan.

Bearing touchscreen support, custom officer creation via the Vita’s camera, and cross-save with the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, this iteration of Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII looks to be one that’s complete with all the bells and whistles. As such, it may have actually been worth the wait – though I suppose that’s up to you to decide for yourself. 😉

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit is due out May 25th in Japan, priced at 8,800 yen.

Are you ready to power up?

The question is, will it come west?

It isn’t completely unlikely. The game’s already been translated and Koei Tecmo really supports the Vita over here.

It’s pretty much just wait and see.

I’m not usually into these type of strategy games, but if Koei Tecmo releases this here physically, I would buy it.

Its funny when I read the title I was thinking they somehow added an external hardware upgrade so the Vita could run the game XD.
