The maker of Super Blackout is back with a game inspired by the likes of Super Mario World.

With an idea that consists of “take Super Mario World and add a level-up system that determines your HP and how much damage your jumps deal to enemies” according to the announcement, Emerald Shores is headed to our namesake portable very soon. It features twenty main levels, five boss battles, short cutscenes, secret levels (via hidden exits), and of course something for the completionist in the mix as well – even offering a Remix Mode with a different level order for some longevity.

Well Emerald Shores is planned (but not confirmed) for a $9.99 release and cross-buy between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita / PlayStation TV; if that wasn’t enough to sell you on it however, then have a closer look at its debut trailer and screenshots below.

Emerald Shores is headed our way very soon, with Fordesoft noting that it should be out “by the end of summer 2017.”

Good idea. If it’s polished enough I’ll consider it.

I am a fan of beautiful pixel art, but this game doesn’t look good at all to me. :/
So I think I’d pass on this one, even though the idea seems interesting.
