Being that there’s been quite a few tidbits packed in with quite a lot of announcements lately, I think it’s time to round them up.

Limited Run Games have been killing it lately, and despite the past call for “more physical copies” I’ve even seen people saying “too many physical games” more recently; these are the guys most responsible for that. Personally however, I’m of the mind that there can’t be too much of anything (other than debt), so the fact that we’ve got three new titles coming our way hasn’t phased me one bit.

Oh, you either? Good! Let’s run down the list of upcoming titles and get back to saving cash to fund them, shall we? 😉

First up we’ve got news that Limited Run Games is partnering with Renegade Kid, Atooi, Jools Watsham, and Nighthawk Interactive to bring platformers Mutant Mudds Deluxe and Mutant Mudds Super Challenge to physical form. Dates for the releases have yet to be hinted at, though I’m sure we’ll have plenty of warning as usual.

Next, we’ve got the pleasure of informing you that a partnership with Hopoo Games means that randomized action platformer Risk of Rain is headed our way as well. Again, this one is currently not dated – though we’ll be waiting with our fingers on the keyboard to let you know when it is.

Finally – with regard to new game announcements at least – we’ve heard that a partnership with DotEmu means that action RPG Ys Origin is going physical; though for this one we’ll be getting both standard and collector’s edition releases! The specifics of the collector’s edition and the release date for this one is also up in the air, but we’ll be keeping our eyes out for the origin of one.

Okay, so those are the new games… but that’s not all we have to share. Previously sold Limited Run physical pre-order title Skullgirls 2nd Encore has been windowed for shipping PlayStation 4, but won’t be hitting Vita until after the home console version’s May release date. Apparently it takes a little more work to make the Vita version happen, so you’ll have to bare with them a little longer. 🙁

Finally, we’ve got news regarding the Limited Run physical version of dungeon crawling RPG Ray Gigant, which is now set to go up for order this Friday (April 14th) at 10am and 6pm Eastern. It’s even got its own store page already, so if you’re not wanting to miss it set a reminder somewhere and bookmark this page.

With all these great games headed to Vita with a limited amount of physical copies available, what’re you still doing reading this? Go out and get a second job so you can pick them up! 😉

I’m interested in that Y’s and the promised Cosmic Star Heroine. Still waiting for Skullgirls and Ray Gigant might tempt me…

Is it just me or does it seem like the Vita has double+ the amount of titles coming out this year then 3DS?

It’s just you. Most of these are not new games, just physical re-releases of previously digital-only games
