The official site for the game has been updated to include introductory details and media for the title’s protagonist, and a teaser trailer has been released to boost the hype. You in?

The recently announced follow-up to Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, Hacker’s Memory follows the same basic timeline as the first game – but from a very different perspective. Through the inclusion of a new protagonist and a new story line (complete with its own motivations), this new version of the game looks to evoke the feel of the first with the interest of something new… but aside from that we haven’t really heard much. Until now.

Thanks to a translation of the updated official site (thanks Gematsu), we now have an official description and a tiny bit of detail on the protagonist. Check it out below;

“An ‘EDEN Account’ is your access key to cyberspace, as well as your personal identification. Keisuke Amazawa’s EDEN Account is hacked, and he is falsely accused of account raiding that he knows nothing about. In order to look for the criminal that tricked him, he becomes a hacker and starts an investigation.”

Sounds like a fun take on being a detective to me!

If that hasn’t upped your hype any however, no fear; this brand new teaser trailer should do the job just fine. 😉

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory is set to release later this year in Japan, and sometime early in 2018 for the West.

Will you be giving it a visit?

    Looking forward to this. Although a part of me feels this might be one of the last big games for the vita, what with its 2018 release.
