It looks like your time with the online portion of this Vita game (and therefore time left to get the platinum) is beginning to run out.

According to a recent update to the PlayStation “Game Servers” page, it looks like one of the very early PlayStation Vita games is getting its sunset cruise this Summer – as Modnation Racers: Road Trip is scheduled to have its online servers shut down forever on July 1st, 2017.

Players who haven’t achieved the racing game’s platinum (which requires online function to nab) by that date will be forever looking at an “incomplete” trophy list with sad eyes – while in the same breath, those simply looking to download tracks, karts, and mods will also be straight up shit out of luck.

A title we reviewed way back in August of 2012, Modnation Racers: Road Trip got a 2.3/5 from our very own founder Paul Murphy – noting that while it might have something for previous fans, there are better racers to be had.

Good thing, ’cause this one’s on its way out where it counts (for some). 😛

One of the first to lose online?

One of the first, yeah. IIRC, I believe Smart As was the first.
