Another Touhou Project RPG is headed to Japan, and we’ve got a quick rundown and some screenshots if that sounds like your thing.
Heading to Vita via Strawberry Bose is Touhou Genso Maroku W: The Devil of Decline. It’s been given a June release window for PlayStation Vita, and looks to offer a unique “Shikigami System” whereby you and your party are bestowed the power of ghostly spirits (aka; shikigami).
Using the over 100 shikigami include in the game, you’ll equip your characters and enhance their abilities. Some of the enemies you face will even turn into shikigami once defeated, and you’ll be able to recruit them thereafter – the fun of collecting and figuring out how they augment your gameplay a big part of this one’s allure.
You’ll be able to explore these abilities in the dungeons, which are made up of various different areas. There, you’ll find goods for alchemy, shikigami, items, spell cards, an illustrated encyclopedia, and more – giving your exploration a sense of reward.
Are you in for a little adventure these days?
Touhou Genso Maroku W: The Devil of Decline is due out this June in Japan. Watch for it!
