Had a strange experience with my Vita last night. I tend to surf the web and watch videos on Vita while laying in bed, and apparently one site attempted to load a banner ad that caused the Vita to completely freeze up. Ten minute later, still stuck on the web browser screen, system completely unresponsive to all commands and even the auto-sleep mode failed to activate. I ended up putting a t-shirt on top of the system so I wouldn't be disturbed by the brightness. When I awoke this morning the screen had finally turned off and the system's Home button was rapidly flashing blue. About one o'clock this afternoon the battery finally drained flat and the system lost all power. I waited until just a few minutes ago for the system to cool down to ensure it wasn't still running something in the background and plugged it into the charger. I've only encountered a Vita complete system freeze on one prior occasion many years ago, but even then I was able to use the multi-button press command to force the system to reboot, that command did not work with whatever happened last night. As for the website where this crazy issue was encountered, I'm not going to name it as it was a obscure bootleg video streaming website that I'd never actually visited before, which I had only just found by using a web search. So lesson learned that sketchy websites should really be avoided regardless of the type of web device your surfing on. Although, this is highly unusual to find something capable of causing a system lock-up of the Vita that it couldn't simply error out of after just a minute or so. Will be attempting to boot the Vita up in a short while, while still charging, and telling it to wipe out it's browser history as a precaution.
