XSEED Games has registered the domain name AkibasBeat.com.

Visiting the website will bring you to a placeholder “Your website is ready” page, which is standard for XSEED’s new domain registrations.

XSEED Games previously localized Acquire’s Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and PC. Akiba’s Beat is Acquire’s newly announced action RPG in the Akiba’s series due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita this fall in Japan.

Great news, sounds like this is going to get localised with any luck. Not a fan of the graphics style compared to the last game which looked amazing on the Vita but that's a minor complaint.

I'm not even sure how many times I watched that. I'm want this game really bad. I hope Xseed gives an actual date at E3 and it's not just "early 2017" or something.

So what are they fighting in the game? Can someone explain the premise of the game please?

It's a standard Pqube edition. I'm ok with that :)
I just hope they don't mess up like they did with Root Letter

Root Letter. If your system language was any other than English then the game wouldn't load some character sprites and font sizes properly resulting in off-screen text. This happened in both the PS4 and Vita versions and had to release a patch a couple days after release.
Sure they are an UK company, but that was the result of a poorly done testing phase. I mean, PQube sells to basically any European country so that shouldn't have happened.

    Rice Digital Neet Edition. £59.99.

The NEET Edition includes the Standard Edition of Akiba's Beat for Vita, an exclusive high quality Akiba's Beat bag, the official Akiba's Beat soundtrack CD, an Akiba's Beat art book, and a lovable Pinkun plushie!

They're live now. I might wait a while & see if any discount codes appear.

Good idea... the only Preorders they sold out on in 2016 (galgun and valkyrie drive) they ended up restocking anyway

I saw on Amazon.com that the pre-order for what I think is the regular edition includes the plushie, if that helps anyone.

If you live in the uk and get paid in pounds... :\

Also, there's no first game. Akiba's beat is not related in anyway to Akiba's Trip 2 besides de reused assets.

I thought the pound was weak and exports cheaper as a consequence

Yeah, but the euro is as well... Americans, go ahead though!

The plushie seems cool, but the bag seems kinda... well... boring? My wife got bootleg Fullmetal Alchemist and Black Butler bags, so I'd love a cool one to match but this is... meh. Can't say my trust in the game warrants an LE purchase either. It looks cool, but not Tokyo Xanadu cool (which it seems most similar to, imo).

Actually it plays more kind of like Tales and Star Ocean.
You get into battle, the enemies appear and you have an action bar to do things and attack.

Tokyo Xanadu is like Ys, whatever is seen on screen can be killed, there's no field-battle transition.

On the one hand I do like that plush. On the other hand I hate ordering from Game...
