Bought this anime this week. Will be watching it tomorrow.
Last episode of No Game No Life today
There seriously better be a season 2. Such a good anime.
So I just finished up a few anime seasons and figured I'd throw up a score and a few thoughts/small description of what to expect. No spoilers though.
#1 Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin - Season 1 (7.8/10)
This is an anime about an island that is littered with a set of unique magical items which are part of "Nanana's Collection" - the unique twist? The main character's new residence on the island is haunted by the pudding eating, video game playing ghost of Nanana! Expect some cool action scenes, a unique storyline, lots of mystery and of course a cute-as-hell ghost Nanana!
#2 Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - Season 1 (6.7/10)
This one's about a guy who moves into a housing complex populated by misfits; you've got the pervert, the slutty college girl, the evil but cute teen and the main character's crush - the bookworm. There's also the obligatory old lady caretaker, as well as some interesting side characters - but in the end it's just another one of those romantic comedies where nothing really happens. There are some good laughs though
I'm also watching Mahouka (7/10 so far) and HunterxHunter (9.7/10).
Well the shoot them self in the food through. The ended in volume 3 but showed something from volume 6 in the end
Hunter x Hunter is SOOO good.
Im about to start watching Hunter x Hunter. Ive kinda putting it off. But ive heard its really good.
There are 2 version of this btw.
The newer one is 2011. I forget when the original one was, but I will say this. The character Hisoka is much more awesome in the original than the 2011. version.
But the 2011 version runs further into the manga (or will, I forget if it has yet), as well as looking much nicer.
Ok, Thanks for the info. I will keep these in mind.
Yeah, it does. It runs a LOT farther than the original. I just wanted to point out that one of my favorite characters ever (Hisoka) is a beast in the original, and less so in the 2011.
Also the original has episodes that have more stuff in them than the 2011. I don't know if it's considered filler or not, but there are episodes that contain more than its newer counter part.
I just watched Mekaku City Actors since its final episode aired just recently. It was nuts, and had Shaft leaking from every orifice - but I like Shaft so I'm okay with that. It has fragmented narrative delivery and it's been thoroughly drenched in weird; I liked it.
For all of you that were fans of Sword Art Online, Sword Art Online 2's first episode aired today and has launched on Crunchy Roll. There's not a huge amount of action going on in the episode, but it definitely sets up what the series is going to show, with Gun Gale Online. The credits show quite a lot of action, though, and they are definitely worth watching through. Though, as expected, don't watch it if you haven't watched the original anime, as spoilers, obviously.
Though, it is nice to see Sinon, from Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, showing up at the end to show that she will be playing a part in the arc that SAO2 will cover.
Crunchy Roll people should be able to find it today with subtitles.
I enjoyed the little tease that as SAO II Episode 1, however now I'm itching for another episode and have to wait
You complain about a week? Look at the Hardcore sm fans that have to wait 2 weeks
I don't know, nor care what SM is, or if someone has to wait two weeks for it - I just want my SAOII. haha.
I watched SAO II episode one a bit a go. Tbh, I wasn't really impressed so far. I was hoping for new characters. I love Asuna and the rest but I dunno, was just hoping for something fresh that wasn't going to revolve around a Kirito/Asuna romance.
We'll see how it goes though. Could turn out to be action packed and solid story.
Anyways, I'm psyched for Tokyo Ghouls episode 2. Really enjoyed the first episode.
I really liked it, I finally watched SAO Extra Edition yesterday too. I'm super stoked for Hollow Fragment now. (I thought Sinon sounded familiar!) Anime I love + Handheld I love = many hours of Hollow Fragment next month...
until Danganronpa 2 consumes my life in September
I think my favourite of this summer is going to be Barakamon - just from the first episode. Right up my abandoned alley that no one around here seems to walk through. Ah well I'm used to it.
Just watched the first episode of Akame ga Kill... Lots of dark animes currently airing LOL. Really enjoying this one now too.
So far, Akame ga Kill and Tokyo Ghoul are 2 of my favorite newly airing animes. Of course that may change as characters/story develops, but we'll see. Hard to really judge off just 1 episode, but so far I'm liking these 2.
I watched the first episode yesterday. This is the one with the guy who moves to a small island to work on his calligraphy, right? It seems ok. Not quite what I enjoy most in an anime, but it's definitely something I'll continue to watch to see how the main character progresses.
@Techup I really enjoy slow-paced shows that focus on character interaction rather than plot or action. There are exceptions of course, but overall I like relaxing shows more than most anything else. Melancholy and witty rank pretty highly as well.
I've got 3 Crunchyroll Guest passes. If you want one, just inbox me, make sure the subject is Crunchy Roll and I'll send it to you.
Another episode of SAO 2 tonight can't wait!
I'm also watching Brynhildr In The Darkness and Hunter X Hunter, both great shows.
I'd do anything for the second season of BTOOOM! to hurry up
The opening theme to Tokyo Ghoul gives me goosebumps.
On another note, hells yes Daniel - SAO II episode 3 tonight =D
