Just realised that the Vita I bought last month didn't come with AR cards, has Sony stopped supplying them now?

Will I miss out by not having them or is there not much support for them anyway?

The best AR cards are the unique ones; like the one that makes Miku appear in real life (via AR) from Project Diva F. Other than that, most of the games are "meh", and like Murphy said the cards are printable.

Have my AR cards in a container near my computer but haven't really touched them since launch...so you're not really missing much honestly.

Yeah, even I have only used them about one time. Not bad games but not really good games that they help/allow you to play.

When did you buy your Vita? The original production run didn't include AR cards.

They didn't? I got a set with my Vita I got on launch day. But I am in Australia so I might have gotten a secondary run.

By first run I mean the Vitas produced alongside the Japanese launch ones. Back when Vita launched in December 2011 in Japan, none of them came with AR cards.

I've never actually used the AR cards, even though I got free AR games...

But I am really interested in AR gaming. I just don't want to use cards at all.

Needing a mention is the game Open Me!
It can in fact be played without the AR cards however, it plays so much smoother with them. I even had to go and find mine so I could finish the game.

Do you recommend it? I saw a few videos and I got interested, but I don't trust in AR games, I don't think they are acurate...

The AR cards to me are frustrating trying to get the camera to read it!

For this game at least when I was playing it read the card highly well, there was only an instance here and there that I had to readjust. Not to mention the trophies are extremely easy to get.

My vita came with AR cards, but I've never used them. The games that use them haven't appealed to me.
