Chroma Squad will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in May, Bandai Namco announced. The previously announced PS Vita version will no longer be released.

The game, developed by Behold Studio and inspired by Saban’s Power Rangers, puts players in control of five stunt actors who decide to quit their day jobs and create their own Power Rangers TV show.

Chroma Squad was first released for PC in April 2015.

    "I am surprised" said no-one.

At first I thought indie games would've given Vita a long, long life, but at this point I've learnt not to rely on them. If there's any effort involved, devs just give up and look elsewhere.

Oh well. At least the localizations keep flowing.

That is because most indie devlopers search for easy to port platforms, Vita is less easy to port than Xbox One or PS4.

What a damn shame about Chroma Squad. I have literally almost purchased this game on 4 separate occasions, but ultimately always held off because I thought I knew a Vita version was coming. At this point though, I will generally not buy any game that is merely a digital download so it looks like i'll never play this. I wonder if Roundabout , Starbound and Stardew Valley will are share the same fate as Chroma Squad. I highly doubt any of them will ever see a release on Vita.
