Awesome!! When I was about 14 years old I used to play the original one on the SNES.

Tempted to import this but it was exclusive to a couple of retailers IIRC so maybe I should just get the PSP version. Looks good.

Ebten and CharaAni.com according to Gematsu. Both sites are in Japanese and neither ships abroad it seems.

I'll have to track this game down somehow... It should hopefully run great on the Vita so its the perfect game for a portable platform. Soldner X2 is also well worth giving a try if you want an amazing horizontal shooter that runs incredibly well on the handheld.

The game launches on January 14 in Japan with one limited edition and one standard edition. The standard version will cost 6,264 yen, while the limited edition will cost 10,584 yen according to Gematsu.

Play-Asia has it on pre-order with a heavy mark-up right now.

And I had $12.00 in points/rewards to use which brought it down a bit. :)

Nin Nin Game's price is cheaper than Play-Asia's at least. I'm not entirely sure I will get this yet. Gonna cost me close to a hundred bucks with the current Canadian dollar.

Well, at least your Canadian dollar is @77 against the US$, whereas it's only 73 (it was 68 two weeks ago) for us Aussies :(

Play-Asia has lowered the price by 25 bucks to $49.99 now which is around the same price as the announced one from the Japanese retailers this is supposed to be exclusive to.

You had me worried there for a second. I thought that the limited edition price at Play Asia had been reduced after I'd paid for it at Nin Nin Games.

Seems the game is coming west. It has been rated by the PEGI (via Steven's Profile Posts) and was already rated in Brazil. Probably will be digital only here though.

I guess I'll be scouring eBay for this one it seems unless they decide to open this up to a site like PlayAsia if I want a physical copy. Not something I'm dying for but it'd be nice to have nonetheless.

It is actually up on Play-Asia for $50. A more expensive limited edition is also available.

For those looking to get a cheaper digital copy, an international release has been announced for November 30.

Does anyone have the physical version of this? How import friendly is it with menus etc?

(I have the digital version on PS4 and it's excellent)

The menu's aren't great, its a bit confusing at first to learn which menu's lead where. But that's the only issue I have with it, its plenty easy to get used to after messing around a bit and the game itself is perfectly playable otherwise.
