Oh man Uppers looks like so much fun, it looks really text heavy and I can't read Japanese Kanji, so let us know if it's any good and if it will be easy enough for any of us to get through without too much reading. I hope it gets english subs

There's really not much text in the story, and the story isn't all that deep either. Its your standard predictable brawler. You can easily get through the game without knowing any Japanese. Only slight issue would be not understanding the optional mission requirements that the girls throw at you in levels. Usually straight forward stuff, but it adds a layer of depth in an otherwise very straight forward and shallow game (the combat is too simplistic for my liking after a while, needed more moves/more depth and definitely more challenge). Guides exist for the challenges though so you can just use those, its just takes you out of the game a bit having to use a guide to look up the requirements.
Well worth playing mind you, very few games in the genre exist today, really the only big one I can think of is Yakuza.

i have looked into uppers and found it to be fun, you dont really need japanese, its fairly logical and a great way to spend 15min of your time.

lordkiteesp it is a similar situation as:

Toukiden The Age of Demons / Toukiden Kiwami
Soul Sacrifice / Soul Sacrifice Delta
Ragnarok Odyssey / Ragnarok Odyssey ACE

That Shinovi Versus is a very good deal by the way, if you don't care about the contents of the Let's Get Physical edition, but do want a physical copy, as the LE prices are insane atm.

They did not get the English patch for the Chaos Rings 3, did they? I remember they announced it at the time, but I do not know how it turned out :(

There's a copy on eBay right now for £30 that's basically the original price?

Did you also see the other listings and note that this is clearly an exception to the rule?

If you look at most sold listings they're floating around the £45 mark, sealed is over £100 but if like you say you just want a physical its not as pricey as it might seem from the listings that are up. I'm seeing that more and more resellers will be listing used items at sealed prices and it looks like the price is obscene but if you actually go through the sold listings people aren't paying that.

I would still prefer a new copy for €12,50 over a second hand copy for €50 that comes with items I won't use. It depends what you're looking for, I guess.

I'm glad I sold my Let's Get Physical edition for €80 last year, since I found a standalone copy at CeX for €22.

Yeah, I totalled around €40 in shipping, but the game prices are worth it for me.
