Go get dat plat! Show it who's boss!
Yo, am gonna get da plat to.
One of them plat dat whort mah gaeming tyme.
It's honestly not a very tough plat really. A bit grindy I suppose, but no more than any other of its genre counterparts. Probably less grindy than a lot of them tbh.
Plus, it's a fun game, so that helps.
This came out? I'm slow on the news as usual.
I may aim for the platinum eventually. What will hold me back is any trophies that require online play.
I was the same way at first, but if you find a good group, you fly through the missions so fast. It's nice to rack up the EP and years.
The DIY Demon trophy (upgrade weapon to level 10) is probably going to be the toughest trophy. Only because upgrading a weapon to level 10 requires several super rare materials that can only be found in certain Retribution missions. Even if you happen to get the Retribution mission you need, it's still a really low chance to get the drop. And Retribution missions can't be repeated...
So on that note, does anyone happen to have Retributions 103 and/or 106? Those are the ones that have the material I need...
There's a couple ways around this.
First - To get the retribution mission you need, go into ad-hoc (doesn't really have to be ad-hoc, this is just how I did it), do the mission 2-3 five times, leave ad-hoc. If you get a retribution mission, check it and see if it's the one you want. If it isn't just swipe the game closed and reload till you get the mission you need. After 5 missions you have something like a 20% chance of getting a retribution mission. However, this way lets you cycle through the missions till you get the one you need.
Second - Getting the materials is pretty much the same way. Go harvest all the resource nodes on the map (most of the rare mats you'll need only spawn in specific nodes I think, but I don't know which locations). If you don't get the material you need, swipe the game closed (do not abandon the mission, just close the game) and reload and retry.
These methods generally take quite a few tries, especially if you're looking for a specific mission, but it's a lot better than playing through hundreds of missions trying to get the retribution you want and then praying you get the material you need in that 1 shot.
Edit - Make sure you save the game after you get the mission you need before you go and try to find the material this way.
Yeah, I'm aware of those methods. That's how I got my Ruined Cable: Ultra-High Quality.
Problem is, most of the Retribution missions that yield these materials are pretty tough. The average person probably won't be able to do it with the AI which means they'll have to go online to complete them.
The method to do it online is this:
Get one person who has the desired retribution mission. Someone else has to host the room. Start the mission, go to the harvest spot. If you don't get the item you're looking for, then the person who had the retribution mission has to disconnect. Then, someone else has to end the mission. The person with the retribution mission rejoins the room, rinse and repeat until you get the item. (Once you get the item, you have to actually finish the mission.)
The hardest part about this is that you have to find a group of 3 people who are willing to start, end, ad restart the same mission over and over again... It took me and my room about 2 hours of resetting the mission before we finally got our hands on a ruined cable. And now I have to do it all over again for pure graphite.
Oh, and the plus side to doing it online is that you get to share the rare materials with 3 other people! Share the ruined cables!!
Wow, you guys really put all that much effort for crafting and mods, huh?
Me? I'm just enjoying the ride. Going into mission after missions online. Take whatever mats i can grab, craft anything i can make, use the best assets i got currently.
Hehe i had 103 and 106 yesterday but i just did all special ops bcus i really wanna get to 500 000 already.
But its just 66000 years away so i should get it today.
And then indeed i gotta upgrade my wep to lvl 50
Was there a patch I missed?!
Level 50!?!?! Jesus... I fear the grinding that would be needed for that.
No XD It was a miss click XD
Usin my iphone for this i meant 10 fcourse.
That's only for upgrading weapons. Modding weapons is a whole different and equally frustrating experience...
GOT DAT DARN PLATINUM!!!!Yeah
Just competed my code 7 exam and after resources for Julien. Is there a list of what he needs or is it really wanting me to reduce my sentence and meet the code 8 requirements?
Struggling with the missions that are available now...
Yeah u can check juliens list in your inventory.
Also for those wondering how thorns should be used
I made a video
With advanced movement and what not.
Its not a guide on the games movement but that perhaps is something i could do if people are interested
Woohoo! Welcome to da cool kids club! Gratz on the platz.
Congrats! I'm assuming that once I get my level 10 weapon, the Peraltum Slayer and Dionaea Slayer trophies will come fairly easily, no?
Do you want to put it in this topic?
You said you made a video showing how to use thorns, but didn't link to it.
Ah i see well
I just am very carefull with advertising stuff u know.
Most websites dont really like doing so
But here it is then:
Are battles supposed to be an endless loop of die>get revived>thorn up to enemy>slash it a few times>die, or do I just suck?
