I read over the weekend that the devs will be releasing a large update for free, not sure what it includes but I am happt none the less.

Double xp was great, chewing through the higher levels. What gun should I use for solo runs, currently using the 'puniser' shotgun as it fits my play style but the single reload for each shot really hinders the ability to control an area when soloing. i know most divers are using some assualt rifle or laser but I don't know teh names of them.

There is no campaign mode which is a little disappointing however you can do the missions solo which I enjoy but you need to be a higher rank with more unlocks to do that. The co-op aspect of the missions is fantastic and it really is a great game. You can do the missions solo, online and offline. However if you go offline the community influence won't add up.

Tnx bro, well recently I purchased "Implosion: Never Lose Hope" on iOS and playing with my MFi controller, the game is one of the best games I have ever seen on iOS in my life, fast and smooth gameplay, exciting story and action music, all fine and a great premium And AAA according to the deves, anyway I thought Helldivers could be same as Implosion but looks not :(

Personally I have no issues with how Helldivers looks, I think it is visually pretty good. Never have had an issue with frame rate drops or lag.

For any one looking at getting this game, I hate to say it but hold off.

The game is fantastic and so much fun but the player base has shrunk to under 1000 players since the last war and progress as a whole is very hard, every time I log in we are losing more and more sectors, making it near impossible to win another war. I hope that they release the new update soon with the new game types and that increases the player base.

I honestly have an easier time finding matches on my ps3 than my vita, strange considering it's cross play

There's a bug with the cross-play and it doesn't work very well. The devs have it listed as one of the things they're going to fix in the next update.

I'm still loving the game. It is sad to see the player base drop off but I have fun playing the games solo. I can usually manage a "Very Challenging" mission with few problems by myself and seem to only get tripped up when others join. Some people need to learn that it's often best to just run from the enemies instead of trying to fight every one you come across.

Also, if you're playing a harder mission, don't bother collecting all the samples. I can't tell you how many times a group of us died because one person wanted to collect them all after the missions were complete.

The ESRB has re-rated Helldivers. While nothing has changed since the first (age rating being the same), the newest rating features a summary, something only retail games are required to do (downloadable games use a short form). It's also worth noting that two versions of the newest raitng exist, one for PS4 and another for PS3/Vita. This could mean that a PS3/Vita or PS4 retail versions may be coming our way in the future.

I'm still waiting for their allegedly big updates to continue. Game is good but it gets boring after a while :p And many issues as well.

I'm now playing Toukiden Kiwami as well.

The new planet type is great, the new enemies and objective types are cool, but really throw you for a loop and make you change how you think about playing... which is probably a good thing, since decoy/stealth runs used to make everything mindlessly repetitive. New planet is the best part of the update.

I can't remember what all strategims, perks, and weapons were part of the free update or part of the new DLC and I still need to upgrade a lot of it, but I dig the new stuff. New mech is pretty interesting for team building potential, the new bombardment is nice, and I do know the new LAS weapon is one handed for when you're escorting cases, which is nice.

Helldivers is now PSTV compatible. I am thoroughly enjoying all the support for this game, haven't managed to beat any enemy masters but this game still kicks on!!
