    Hey guys,

As you may know, The Vita Lounge has a dedicated PlayStation Vita podcast called The Vita Cast - serving up the week's news, reviews, commentary, game recommendations and more via a few methods... however I'm interested in figuring out the most popular/best ways to get the episode out as I'd like to expand our reach.

    As such, I'm interested in what methods you guys use to listen to podcasts;
    • Do you download the podcasts on iTunes?
    • Do you prefer a quick, direct download link?
    • Do you use RSS feeds and a dedicated feed app?
    • How about a third party delivery service, like podbean or something else?
    • Is YouTube your preferred method?
Use the poll and let us know how you listen to podcasts, regardless of whether it's ours or not - it could really help. :)

I used to use iTunes, while I had an iPhone.

Then I switched to Android and after trying quite a few different Podcast apps, I stuck with Stitcher (www.stitcher.com). The app is decent, allows to save for offline listening (especially useful when I go on the underground or have patchy reception) and syncs so I can playback from the same position via a web browser.

I listen to them on youtube mainly, don't like saving mp3s or anything. I think all podcasts should be on youtube even if it isn't like a face cam podcast.

edit: I just listen to them on a page and tab out while listening usually if there's no choice.

There must be some sort of software or service that'll just push out the audio file to all the different formats, such as in feeds, to iTunes (which just uses a feed in the background I believe), to YouTube, etc.

Podbean pushes to a feed and iTunes, and that's what we currently use for the most part - though Tyler puts them up on YouTube for us as well.

I'm just wondering if there's a better avenue and/or what everyone prefers - if there's avenues that're used regularly that we don't feature the 'cast one we'd love to look into them.

I'm fine with them being uploaded on the youtube channel honestly. I also suggested Podcast One, but they're pretty choosy. :p

Nup, for podcasts, you have to be able to listen to them on the go and in areas where there is no internet (of if internet is sketchy). If a podcast is going on YT, there should at least be a link in the description for an MP3 version.

I don't really take stuff on the go for the IPad, iPod, etc so it doesn't bother me any. Yeah, MOST do host an MP3 version regardless on if they upload it to youtube or not.

As I have Android I chose the direct download version, although seeing that people use an app called Stitcher I might give that a download later to try it out.

I hate iTunes with a passion. I use pocket casts on android, tried loads of apps but this beats them all by a mile.
Has the voting finished, I can't seem to chose an option?

Quite surprised - sounds like a lot of you listen to podcasts at your computer? Nothing wrong with that of course, but I actually got into podcasts via iTunes to listen on an iPod/iPhone ages ago. As a result, I used to listen to podcasts during my commutes, and that's probably why I prefer it in some sort of podcast app (Stitcher for me, as I've already said).

I listen to podcasts on my iPhone about 95% of the time just because it is the most convenient way for me to listen. I usually listen while I am driving to and from work, running or sometimes when playing games.
