1. They were made at the exact same Sony plant with the exact same materials and same equipment. 2. They are 100% fully functioning copies. 3. They were sold at MSRP directly threw the LRG website. So does it really matter that some folks view these as unofficial? I mean they aren't exactly pirated copies. The profits from the sale go directly to the game's publisher and developer just like every other release they've done. One time I bought a hole-punched copy of Psycho Pass off eBay and I posted here for advice on what I should do about it, and the majority of responses I got from here was that I should keep it because it's the rarest variant of the game. Personally I don't like hole-punched copies in my collection, but then again I've never been a rarity chaser or a varient-collector so that's probably why.
