    The article speaks for itself, I did expect this but the question was more when this would happen.

    Still sad news to hear, maybe it's time to save up some money for the next few months to buy a new Vita slim and a 32gb memory card (which in my case is kinda difficult with current Vita and Switch releases ripping my wallet to pieces)

    I think the Vegeta gif covers my feelings exactly. Sure, there is the rain, and sure, there is a sense of sadness, but with our heads held high we can march through our final year!!

    For some odd reason I am not as sad as I thought I would be. It will definitely be hard to say goodbye, but we got 7+ years out of the Vita and all the wonderful memories that came with it. I guess in the end instead of sadness I feel content, content that it fought and lasted so long despite all the negative press it got.

    Thanks for all the memories our beloved handheld.

    Don't worry some little back street factory in China will be knocking blank carts out in 2019 ;) :)

    I don't want the adventure to end yet! Hopefully someone will figure out how to make repro games some day in the future so we can keep at it.

    I don't want it to end!! I've only been collecting for less than 2 years! Sigh. I'm personally gutted but I can't do much about it. I'll definitely be buying a couple of memory cards very soon. Possibly a new slim too. Sigh.

    So that means that it will have almost a similar lifespan as Nintendo's Game boy Advance from when it launched till discontinued.

    GBA = 2001 - 2010 (9 years)
    PS Vita = 2011 - 2019 (8 years)

    Kinda impressive despite the Vita's struggles. Was hoping the Vita to make it till 2020 or 2021 just to keep Sony's 10 year life cycle reputation intact like their home consoles and the PSP. Overall Sony has been in the handheld market for 15 years with both the PSP & Vita.

    Totally agreed. Even last year when I was looking sealed oleds were higher than I ever imagined they would be. Anything sealed from this point on is just going to be ransomware.

    With the production method behind Vita carts I doubt that will be possible, however I'm pretty sure the hacking and homebrew scene will have a lot of fun when Sony is done with updates for the Vita.

    Urghh black also I did find them but I'm sure I paid less for my blue one, I'm just going to check out eBay now and again to see what's about as I'm not if I want the Black/Pink, Persona or Dragon Quest edition.

    Seems like it’s time to invest in a slim as backup if my original OLED ever gonna kick the bucket (hopefully it stays strong for many years to come, the built quality seems to be really good). I think I want to get one of those colored ones. Or maybe silver? It depends on what’s available I guess, anyone have good tips on where to get one except for playasia and the bay?

    I just bought a pre owned slim cosmic red of Solarisjapan, seems to be the fairly decent prices, mostly pre owned but they do currently have a few new Vita's available

    I haven't received it yet, Solarisjapan are kind enough to send you photo's before shipping if you request in the order info;

    Looks good to me!

    lesdennis, will this console come with an original box, AC adapter and manuals ?
    I took a look at solarisjapan and I can see the description is kinda poor for the preowned Vitas.
