800 with only 2 photos , description with about 10 words in it , with that many repos of that game out there i would expect alot more pics etc ...not for me at that price I may be daft but not that daft but an excellant game nevertheless.

Mega Drive repros are a pain to pick out on eBay. It was a nightmare to get my copy of the Punisher but I'm happy with the one I got. Not in perfect condition, but that was actually a factor in me getting it (as a minty new looking copy would be really suspect).

As for insane prices, the latest issue of Retro Gamer has someone who paid £2300 odd for Mega Man X3 (PAL) boxed and complete for the Snes. I paid £350 for mine a few years back and thought it was expensive then, either the buyer was mad or prices have really shot up!

If I had a game I could sell for 2 grand it would be gone! lol. I wish. Looking forward to seeing them Ninty. Have you ever considered doing a few let's plays on the tube?

On a side note I've got my Retro Freak hooked up now so I'm at last getting some MD time in. Still have 2 modded MDs and a 3rd spare, just can't part with them.

Likewise, with some room for exception, that kinda money from a single game would be something I wouldn't dream of passing up on. I'm still kicking myself for not letting go and selling off my copy of Third World War (Sega CD) about ten years back when the price for it mysteriously shot to over a hundred dollars. Now it only sells for the more reasonable $10 to $20 range, but still, hindsight is 20/20. On the flip I sold off games in the past that have steadily gone up in value and now regret having sold many of them for the bare minimum I got for them back ten plus years ago.

Not that it'll help anyone frequenting here I guess, as they're US/NA lists, but, I made and added checklists for Sega CD, 32X, and TG-16 to my site.

I bought another off the seller at the same time but he sends them separately so hopefully another one might turn up early next week.

It's Daisenpu by Toaplan , though not one of their finest games. I think it was made by the Toaplan tea boy when the real programmers were on there break ! :)

The tea boy got to make games when the others were tea breaks xD

I would pay serious money for a tea-based shooter, I will admit.

Ahhh Twin Hawk. I have that. I didn't recognise it. I love Toaplan. I know what you mean its not brilliant but could be a lot worse.

I'm not even sure what a tea-based shmup would even be like lol.

Yeah , I know but the only time I've had off in the last 20 was Xmas day !! I thought overkill was a gaming thing !

Anyway , it did get me one of my top 5 childhood shooters, I still remember pouring 10p's into it on Skeggy Pier playing this bad boy ,it was hard as nails then and still is now ........I present

I literally only checked the forums to see if you'd posted up. My jaw dropped and I actually whispered Slap Fight when I waw the first pic lol. Mate, I'm rapidly becoming jellooo. In fact nope, I'm well into jello territory. They're all so pretty lol. It's great that you've bought one that holds memories for you, I love that. What setup do you use? Original hardware, scart?

Oh yes, now you're talking. I do like Verytex. I think it's overlooked as I rarely hear anything about it. I do love TF3 + 4, but damn they slap me around something chronic.

It's odd that the first shmup I ever played was Project X, and then St. Dragon on the Amiga, both of which I was a massive fan of back then. Both were side-scrollers, but now I'm older I actually prefer vertical shooters. I like them all but just prefer vertical. I think I find them easier. What's your preference ninty72 ?

Vertical all the way for me from the early days on the c16 , looking at you Terra Nova ;) through to the nes , master system , megadrive , saturn ( the pinnacle of vert shooters ) and dreamcast.
