What a shitty month...
I've got to agree - I've got Flameover (not played it yet) which has apparently been patched to overcome some of it's inital issues. According to the publisher, the patch has passed QA in Europe, but for some reason no one can access it...
Just downloaded the PS4 version of Flame Over for free. Should have been Vita only.
I kind of think the opposite. Its definitely more suited to a portable, but the PS4 version has instant loading so for restarts and transitions from levels its far better. Plus the PS4 version was patched to fix a few niggling problems that the Vita has (mostly being incredibly difficult to save everyone). I should in theory be able to platinum the PS4 version, I'm stuck at 77% on the Vita version!
I meant the PS+ version should've been for Vita only, whereas it let you download both versions for free.
I certainly won't complain at more free stuff! Plus for whatever reason the game wasn't cross buy (strange in itself) so getting the PS4 version for free was a win for me!
I will probably play it on my PS4 for the moment as my 64GB card is full...
PS+ games available on 5th of April:
Dead Star (PS4)
I Am Alive (PS3)
Savage Moon (PS3)
A Virus Named Tom (PS Vita)
Shutshimi (PS Vita)
Well, the Vita games weren't available in Europe, so it's not a bad month.
I gave Reality Fighters a chance when I first got it since the Vita came out. And and I have to agree with you. It was absolute garbage and was completely rushed for the Vita's launch line-up, in fact, few of the games were rushed. Besides Reality Fighters lacked any variety and you were forced to take pictures of other people just to create a character, not only it's one of the worst fighting games out there. It's just dumb in general. And this is coming from the same guys who brought us Invizimals.
Will be interested to see what Zombi is like as I don't have a WiiU.
I watched videos of both A Virus Named Tom and Shutshimi. The latter looks really weak - very, very basic and certainly ot something I'd go out of my way to play...
AVNT looks a bit more interesting, but hardly ground breaking and something which would be more suited to my phone, perhaps...
Unconfirmed but saw a rumour online that May's PS4 plus games are going to be Watch Dogs and Tetris. Supposedly came via a screenshot from a quickly taken down page on the German ps store, which apparently has done this before and turned out to be correct. By all accounts we will know for sure on Wednesday. There was no mention of May's Vita titles though.
Update for Euroland.
Coming May 3rd -
Tropico 5 (PS4)
Table Top Racing: World Tour (PS4)
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 (PS3)
LocoRoco Cocoreccho! (PS3)
Switch Galaxy Ultra (PS Vita, PS4)
God of War: Ghost of Sparta (PSP, PS Vita)
I love God of War but I already own the game. But I would love to see more PSP or PS1 games for PS+ members.
I don't have PS+ or a PS4 but that's great that Tropico 5 is on there. I loved Tropico 3 and 4 on 360. Haven't played 5 yet but I want to get it eventually.
Probably a decent PS4 line up. I already own both Vita titles (GoW on UMD!), so a pretty weak month for me...
I've not played a Tropico game before, so I will be interested to see what it's like.
Yeah Tropics might be rather fun, i only played the first one a long time ago but it was good. All i remember is "El Presidente!" lol The Vita line up again feels... underwhelming. Not sure if i should pull the trigger on GoW, i played a few of them on ps3 and i just never really got caught up in the whole thing. Maybe i will dedicate a seperate memory card for all the ps+ games lol.
PS+ games available on 7th June:
God of War: Chains of Olympus (PSP/PS Vita)
Little Deviants (PS Vita)
NBA 2K16 (PS4)
Gone Home (PS4)
Siren: Blood Curse (Episodes 1-12) (PS3)
I'm very happy with that. I would have bought the god of war psp games next time they came around in a sale, but have managed to get them in ps+. The rest are gamea i would never buy but will no doubt enjoy - haven't played a basketball game since ps1 days, and i was always quite fond of it back then
Great big meh all around.
Gone Home looks good and I will give Little Deviants a try (if the trophies are easy), but the remainder do nothing for me...
I know GoW is a decent game, but I've got it on my PSP and PS3, so have no desire to (re)play it on my Vita. That said, I'd be all over the remastered GoW games for the Vita!
I will give Gone Home a try but 2x God of War in a row is pretty lame and I already own the game(s).
Problem with Gone Home for me is that I already played it on the PC. Its an excellent game, but it mainly hinges on its mystery when telling its story. Now I know how it goes, I'm just not sure I can replay it since all the tension and mystery is gone.
PS3 has a good month though - I recommend everyone try Siren, its perhaps the most overlooked and under rated horror series for the PS2/PS3. All three games released are excellent, if a little clunky at times but have amazing atmosphere and interesting ideas/mechanics. Really wish the series would get a PS4 or Vita release at some point (though to be fair, team Silent are working on Gravity Rush 2 so I'm not mad!)
