I'm really enjoying Vostok Inc, but the slowdown and frequent crashes are really starting to grate... So I've started Danganronpa V3 - I've just finished the prologue and am on to chapter 1 - hopefully there'll be a killing soon :)

Only issue I had with GR2 was the stealth missions. It just hampers the fun of having all these super powers and being stuck doing boring follow missions :( I love Kat as a character though, so effortlessly cheery throughout the game, such a nice change from other characters. Wonderful visuals and soundtrack as well.

Anyway, played some more Tokyo Xanadu yesterday night. Hit the intermission chapter - the cliche hot springs chapter... hopefully either a dungeon will appear soon or we'll move onto the next chapter where something interesting happens. It feels like that gap between the introductory chapters where the story has now been set, and the later chapters where the story really hots up.

I'm working on Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the Vita. Usual Uncharted stuff, works well but difficult to see the screen when the scenes are dark or when there's some reflection.

On the PS4 I'm playing HZD which keeps getting better and better!

I remember reading some opinion from other people about Vita/PS4 versions of Tearaway. I seem to agree that the Vita version was so good because of the way it used the Vita's functions - touch screens, camera, mic etc. It really pulled you into the game and made the story about Atoi and "you". The PS4 version goes a different direction with it but just never felt like you had the same level of control. And it really dragged in the middle, and I never really warmed to the new moves/content. The ending is cool though, but I'll never get the platinum as its just mind numbing to go after all the secrets in that game.

Anyway, making super progress with Tokyo Xanadu now. Cleared almost all the chapters so should be done with the game soon I hope. Its been really fun though, bar a couple of the more cliche parts of the game. Bosses are ace though, always fun going up against the next one to see what they through at you! Also glad I upped the difficulty as the game isn't really all that hard!

Finished the story of Valkyrie Drive -Bhikkuni- and it was actually really quite good! I think I enjoyed it more than SK shinovi versus. It has its share of problems but the art is great, the girls are cute and the battle system deep enough to not be a button masher. Recommended.

Since GR 2 hasn’t arrived yet I’m gonna jump into Persona Q on the 3DS while I wait.

Finished Tokyo Xanadu then went ahead and did the epilogue chapter. Didn't realise they'd pack that much content into an epilogue! Trying to do a quick New Game + run as I want to experience the added levels in this run (kinda annoying they saved some content for NG+, but I enjoyed the game so much I'm willing to give it a quick playthrough again!)

*edit* ok - plowing through chapter 3 on NG+ on Xanadu. Nightmare difficulty + Infinity makes for an ample challenge and finding the new portals is straight forward so hopefully this'll go ok. All depends on some of the later bosses though!

I have been loving "XCOM" ..WOW!!! -what an awesome game. I know it exists for the PS4, and then saw it on the PS Store ..got it for $9.99 (it was on sale). What an awesome game. Super detailed, strategic combat game. ...may be one of my fav's of 2017.

Making fast progress on Tokyo Xanadu's Nightmare difficulty. Up to chapter 6 now so I'm right near the end of the game. Honestly its not been too bad so far, a mix between using the right characters, swapping out when injured and learning the boss patterns have worked for me so far! Cleared 4 of 6 of the new optional dungeons, the last of which was fairly evil - having you hop between small platforms while avoiding parts of the floor which are poisonous. Managed to S rank them all so far, two more to go and I should be done.

Still working my way through 999 since Digit sent it to me, been a bit distracted by ps4 lately.

I've got 2 of the endings so far, but i'm realising i'm not unlocking thinks down any of the routes (all the keys/padlocks have a cross over them).... i just figured i was supposed to solve the mysteries to progress. Is it the speech choices that unlock the main ending? If so, i'm choosing them all wrong lol

Yeah, the combination of choices determines which ending you get. The actual true ending can also only be achieved if you get the other endings first (or was it just one specific ending - it's been a while since I've played it on DS so my memory's a bit fuzzy). But it's going to be so worth it when you reach that true ending! A real mindbender. There are some good spoiler-free walkthroughs online that can be very helpful if you don't want to trial and error your way through.

Virtue's Last Reward also does a nice job of building upon the first game. Also highly recommended!

Up to Chapter 2 on Danganronpa V3 - totally brilliant - the first chapter was excellent, and I'm anticipating another killing shortly :)

I'm also playing a bit of Vostok Inc as well.

Thanks, i think i will get through all puzzles without the walkthrough, likely getting all the bad endings, and then use the walkthrough to pick up the remaining ones.

You don't actually need the walkthrough. Have you realized yet you can jump around anywhere in the flow and start from there rather than replaying every single thing? (There's also a fast forward button thingy to skip through text you already read.) Also, you should note what you did in one flow chart and select another option, etc. Also I think the option you already took is NOT highlighted and the highlighted option is something you haven't tried yet when you're in this sort of fastfoward mode.)

This thing is a lot more prominent in "Virtue's Last Reward", but 999 (at least for the vita) uses it to some extent. Thankfully, because the DS version did NOT let you skip through all that stuff or have a flow chart to indicate which path you took/etc.

I started Michael Jackson The Experience HD earlier this week and ended up playing it for hours every night. Just got the Platinum! And now all I can hear in my head are Michael songs :p

I thought it was a really fun and addicting music/rhythm game that doesn't seem to come up very often when people talk about their favorites of the genre on Vita. It took me a while to get to grips with the touchscreen controls, I'm not a huge fan of those. And compared to some of the Japanese rhythm games it wasn't too extremely difficult, even on the highest setting. Could also have done with some more tracks, but it was still fine for what it was. (Diamond-gloved) thumbs up!
