I have been waiting for this game to hit Vita for freaking ever. In the Vita Podcast they said it was cross buy and anything else with the word "cross" in it, but every day I check the PSN store only to be disappointed. I think it was a mistake for the publisher to hype this game as much as they did on youtube but then never deliver. Has it been quietly cancelled?
Currently in the final stages of QA testing as of January 5th http://thevitalounge.net/2016/01/05/roundabout-close-to-submission-on-vita/
What about DiscStorm? http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2015/03/10/discstorm-brings-arena-combat-ps-vita-later-year/ Haven't heard about this game for a while.
Still coming, release date TBA: @JorgeMagalhaes9 @skiddie77 It is indeed still coming to Vita! We're still working on it atm, but will give dates as soon as we can. :)— XMPT Games (@XMPTGames) January 22, 2016
Doesn't No Goblin consist of like 2 people? I think I'd allow them a bit of time given it's only about a month since they last updated about it.
Any more updates on Roundabout? I've been waiting on this game for forever and they heavily promoted crossbuy support on this and PS4 has had it for quite a while.
@Samus2008 Still coming along, but nothing to announce. Trust me, you'll be the first to hear when we have news :)— Roundabout (@RoundaboutGame) May 11, 2016
So it takes over 8 months to finish the final stages of quality assurance? How long has this game been in development? If this game ever does come out and I doubt it will I'll be expecting a bug-free port.
I spoke to the No Goblin guys about this two weeks ago, they've been focusing on 100 Foot Robot Golf and will be returning to Roundabout Vita shortly. We in sorting out an interview for the magazine.
They probably just work on it whenever. Low priority. I can see it getting canned or just taking time. I'd prefer the latter. The only problem is the conundrum of taking so long that the platform you were porting it to becomes less and less viable as time goes on and creates a reason to cancel. That's what happened with Hyper Light Drifter, and part of what will probably happen with Mighty No 9. Luckily, these peeps probably aren't as high on themselves to just be like "screw 'em, no one cares except Vita owners, it won't even get a GAF thread" so I can visualize them still delivering it.
Thanks for the info update on this I appreciate it because I'm not on any of the mainstream social media sites. I just think it's funny sometimes when I think about how this was the first digital Vita game I had planned to buy when I had very first pre-ordered my PS-TV and it's still not out yet. An interesting thing I did happen to see today is months ago on twitter they tweeted that the devs are big fans of physical copies of games. If they ever do allocate the energy to finish roundabout vita then it would be a perfect canadate for the Limited Run Games treatment. I can already invision the epic box art in my head right now with Georgie darting her eyes to the side being creeped out by Mr. Bones haha.
I finally got tired of waiting for Roundabout to come to Vita so I gave up today and bought the PC version from the Steam summer sale for $1.99.
Still planned as of the end of January: Nope! On hold while we wait for some middleware issues to be resolved, but still planned to release. We'll yell when we have more news!— Roundabout (@RoundaboutGame) January 25, 2018 Who knows if it'll release, though
What the hell, I go onto the PSN store and what do I see? https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0476-PCSE00699_00-LETSGOGEORGIO008 Blimming Roundabout Vita has been freaking released! What alternate reality did I just wake up in? :O And 4.88 Gigabytes? That's freaking crazy that wouldn't even have fit onto a game card. Who wants to make a bets if it's Vita-TV compatible or not? I'm about to see.
It's around 1.1gb on the Vita. I wish the performance was better so until that is fixed I'll wait with purchasing it.
