Similar to the "how many Vita's have you seen in public", would/do you play your Vita in public?

I only have a 20 minute train journey now, but if I get a seat then I'll play on my Vita, otherwise I won't bother if I'm standing (mainly because one hand goes to holding on to a railing).

I actually managed to start Akiba's Trip on the train today, so that was good. ^_^

The only time I generally have time to play it in public is if I'm in a waiting room of sorts. Example being at the dentist. Otherwise when I go out to do or get something, I get it done and get back.

I have a 45 minute train journey each morning and evening, and play on my Vita every time.

That said, I also take the Underground (subway), but never use it on there...

    I play wherever.

    I've played Vita;
In line at McDonalds, Wendy's, the bank, the grocery store, the mall, on the bus, in a taxi, in a movie theatre (before the movie)....

    Hardcore! :D

I should've asked a follow up question - which games do you play in public? I imagine Senran Kagura wouldn't be one of them!

You'd imagine wrong, as I don't really play into the whole "hide your games" trope - I am otaku, hear me roar. :p

When I was traveling for work I would play at the airport, on the bus and in hotel lobbies

I play it on longer train or plane rides.

Respect for playing Akiba's Trip though, I would be way too embarrased to play that game in public :D

No, I keep mine at home. I just got into the habit of never bringing this stuff out in public since I was really young when people would 'borrow' my games and stuff but never return them.

I play mine at work all the time. On breaks of course... ;) I even played some Killzone Mercenary online back when the beta launched. Good times :) now I'm play Freedom Wars and Duke Nukem at work.

I usually just play on train journeys.

I was playing Akiba's Trip on the train at the weekend, made sure no-one was sat behind me though!

I use mine during breaks and between work/classes/etc all the time. It's either that or kill time tooling around on the Internet, so why not show off my mad failing skillz? ;)

Unfortunately, the superiority of the 3DS battery usually means the Vita is for home use only.

My vita is a lifesaver every time I ride the trains.

I don't think Akiba's Trip is too bad actually, sure it has the stripping part but actually it doesn't look like a massive show to me. Compare that to what I've seen of Senran Kagura, and Akiba's Trip is probably about a '12' rating, maybe even less these days!

I've played it on the plane a few times. And in my car, but that's not really in public I guess.. :)

Hate to admit that 3DS battery is better than Vita. But, even the most resource consumptives game on Vita can make the console to last about 3-4 hours. Even if you are on a long journey somewhere, would you play your Vita for 4 hours straight? You gonna kill your eyes doing that...

It might not be that bad in comparison, but I'd imagine that stripping clothes off people could get me a few odd looks.

Yeh that is a fair point. An end seat where people can't see your screen would be fine for this. But then again Senran Kagura would also be fine in that seat!

I mostly do it on the bus when travelling to visit my father or my gf. Aside from that, I only carry my Vita around when I know I'll have the time to play it (like when waiting to meet someone), so no "oh, let's sit here and play a bit" moments for me.

Well, I don't get the chance to play it in public: I bike to work, and I don't have enough time on breaks to make it worth it. I do bring it to my friends' houses if I'm staying over 'cause I don't actually sleep at night, but that doesn't really count as playing it publicly. Same things goes for long drives... If I did get the chance I would though. I've no real reservations about playing where others can see: most of my games don't have any inappropriate content anyways.
