I hope that the PS Vita is getting a physical release of the game in the US and in Europe.
Id imagine it will, xseed really seems to know their market. Cold Steel had one and Senran Kagura is getting one soon.
I think so too. By the way the Ys games are way better on the PS Vita/PSP than on home consoles
Another Ys game?
Or should I say... Ys pls!
Totally agree, Oath in Felghana and Celceta are two of my favorite games ever. Cold Steel is also incredible
I'm pretty stoked for this.
While YsMoC was enjoyable there was lots of room for improvement, I don't know much about Ys8 but it doesn't have to improve much on YsMoC in order to make it an amazing game.
Anybody notice the new special edition Vita that just got announced to launch in Japan on the same day as the game?
Too bad they aren't including any extras - not even the game itself - in the package. Missed opportunity! But as a big fan of the series, I couldn't help but place my preorder
Yep, saw the announcement earlier on & wondered if anyone here would preorder it. Did you go with Nin Nin Games?
Yeah, went with Nin-Nin again this time. I didn't see any other shops take orders yet (that I know of) and the price didn't seem too ridiculous. 200 € is about what you'd pay for a new regular Vita over here - if you were able to find one in the shops anyway
It does seem like a very reasonable price. A sweet addition to your collection.
Did not see another thread about the western localization so I am posting this here. I am thrilled to bits that the game is coming west with a physical version on Vita. However, I am also shocked that NIS is publishing. I have no problem with NIS, but I was certain that XSeed would pick this up. Apparently NIS made a better pitch. IT seems these days that Aksys and NIS are getting pretty aggressive about pursuing games to publish.
That Aksys does that concerns me, by far most Vita games published by them don't get a physical EU release.
From what I've heard its partly due to how long Xseed is taking to localize games these days. I don't know how true that is but I've seen it mentioned in a few places and it makes sense. Not sure they could have actually worked on these other games and released them when Falcom wanted.
But isn't the console version of Ys VIII running on a higher framerate?
Well it's part of the main issue i have with this game.
They released it on Vita first, got all feedbacks from PS Vita gamers and then made the PS4 version while adding few new features.
The Vita version is a sort of live "beta" test of the final product "PS4 version"
Im enjoying Celceta but jeez how hard could it have been to time the character walk animation with movement speed. Running looks fine but god walking looks like they're moon walking. It annoys me greatly!
People were Tweeting NISA Europe yesterday about the limited edition & NISA just kept saying 'stay tuned for more news', so hopefully they'll be selling it.
EU Limited Edition is 100% certain
The only thing we don't know is WHEN T-T
I need that collectors edition, probably it will come when I do not have the money...
Memories of Celceta is one of my favourite Vita games. And Oath in Felghana IS my favourite PSP game.
Megaprops to NISA for not skipping the Vita version in the west. Both them & Aksys doing me a solid, likely wouldn't play any time soon on home console or Steam.
Europe's getting the LE.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA Limited Edition
Pre-Order Start Date:
9th March 2017 at 12pm GMT
only on the Official NISA Europe Online Store
Sweet, will be getting the LE for sure! I heard that YS VIII was specifically designed for the Vita, which is why it looks and runs so great as it is not a port.
Up now on the NISA Europe site. And preordered!
Not sure if it was on there before now, but just noticed the LE box on the NISA europe site. It looks really nice, even nicer than their other boxes
Yeah that looks awesome, thankfully its the same in NA lol had me worried for a second. Reminds me of the Diablo 3 CE box, one of the best quality boxes ever.
